Colors

yellow yellow… dirty fellow… sitting on a buffalo

The greatest riddle that one can encounter is that, “how is it, that the first rhyme that students of Crescent High School, Pune, manage to learn is yellow yellow..when the rhyme is actually making a mockery of themselves”
Alternating Yellow(P) and White(S)  form the basic backbone of the DNA of Crescent, and then the connective bonds of the ladder are made by Black(T), Navy Blue(A), Brown(C), Green(G).
Now when it comes to Brown, it is the new base introduced in alternating form of TIE..yes in one of the hottest parts of the country, students are forced to wear a TIE,, why??,, never logically explained to anyone..
and do remember crescent is an adaptive institution..
when it was first introduced, the TIE:was a full length TIE, which meant that students in their past time, had an accessory to kill time:Just remove their TIE and practice the great ART of single knot, triple knot, samosa..
it also meant that when a student was TIeRED to sit in the class, all they had to do is disengage the knot of the TIE, ensure censure from the Teacher, and possibly a walk out from class to rectify the knot.. you could see the corridors of Crescent filled with students just TIE ing the TIE...
but then Crescent adapted, and they introduced ready made TIE, all you had to do was to hook it around the neck and it always remained a perfect triangle,,,
but paradoxically it now means that Crescentians are the unique breed: who wear a TIE,, but never know how to TIE a TIE..
The next part of the riddle is, why a NAVY BLUE sweater!!.. just imagine someone wearing, YELLOW, WHITE, BLACK, BROWN colors, and then to top it, wearing a NAVY BLUE Sweater..may be we were not in school, we were in Clown College.

The assorted colors chosen by Crescent, maybe reflects the mentality of a Generation of India, whose society was fractured and everyone zealously made efforts to stitch the various identities together.. after all can anyone explain why “Unity in Diversity in India” was asked in exams every year from 5th standard to 10th,, and the 23rd wonder of the world is that students still struggle to write the answer in Board Exams…

Few years back the Grey Building of Crescent was re-colored to light brown shade, while few buildings retained the Green and Light yellow texture..with Green..one more riddle is there… why there were a few classrooms on first floor which had a Green Board, while majority had Black Boards.. another unexplained riddle...(poor paragraph, no relation between sentences, probably should change it, let it be why bother, who is going to see it anyways, who is going to complain anyways.. @@ poor color combination, no synergy between colors, probably should change it, _ _ _ _ @@)

Our school was next another school, we had dark brown skirts and light fade brown tops,, they had dark blue shorts/skirts and chequered blue tops,, our PT uniform was all white while theirs was white mixed with khakhi.. and our school timings were same. It looked like a Mela at school start and end times..
